It is remarkable how neatly Joseph Muscat and his circle fit the stereotype of wealthy, low-life bogan criminal operators: flashy, shameless and seemingly convinced that money places them above consequence. He barely appears interested in concealing the image of corruption surrounding him; even the dress code seems perfectly tailored to the part.
He is seen here posing with gold dealer George Tabone, who appears to have discovered a highly effective marketing strategy by tagging along with Joseph Muscat, flattering him relentlessly, and turning political sycophancy into brand promotion.
