Iran strikes vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz

The IRGC has continued to strike at commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz without permission as of early this morning. The strikes this morning follows a strike on the Greek-operated and Liberian-flagged Minoan Pioneer last Monday.

The IRGC confirmed today’s attacks via state media. The IRGC insists that vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz need its permission and could potentially pay tolls.

Earlier this week, the Iranian regime denied that it is in negotiations with the US government and instead stated that an agreement will be reached on Oman on the opening of the Strait without any foreign interference.

Brent crude is popping higher again currently above $87 as of writing.
