Today in Court in the ongoing trial of Yorgen Fenech, the alleged mastermind killer of Daphne Caruana Galizia, chats were presented in Court to prove the close relationship between Keith Schembri, the Chief of staff of disgraced Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Yorgen Fenech himself.
Some of these chats were already published and include Keith Schembri and Yorgen Fenech speaking about their secret chat group “No Vallettaย No Party”, Keith Schembri sharing sensitive Police information with Yorgen Fenech, and also chats about Adrian Delia.
Here’s what is allegedly the last chat between Keith Schembri and Yorgen Fenech in which Yorgen Fenech explicitly asked Keith Schembri to send him the draft text of the Presidential Pardon. The thread ends there followed by many missed calls and by then Melvin Theuma’s pardon was already in process of being approved. In the chat Yorgen Fenech also asks Schembri whetehre the police were going to arrive for him on that day. The conversation took place on the 19th November 2019 at 9.38AM.
Yorgen Fenech was arrested the following day aboard his yacht off the coast of Pembroke as he tried to flee the islands.
