A 47 year old man from Argentina is in danger of dying after having suffered serious burns in a gas explosion at a Żejtun scrapyard.

A worker has been hospitalised after an explosion at a crane services outlet in Żejtun on Monday morning.
The incident occurred at around 10.25am at premises in Triq tal-Barrani.
Police officers, members of the Civil Protection Department and officials from the Occupational Health and Safety Authority were called to the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
Sources indicated that investigators are considering the possibility that a gas cylinder may have been the source of the blast.
A worker who was at the premises at the time was rushed to hospital for treatment. Their condition has not yet been officially confirmed, although the injuries are believed to be serious.
Investigations are ongoing.
