A 31-year-old Colombian man who lived in Gżira has died following a motorcycle accident in Attard during the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police said they were informed at around 2.30am that assistance was required in Vjal l-Istadjum Nazzjonali.
Officers immediately proceeded to the scene, where preliminary investigations established that the man had been riding a Voge SR motorcycle when he lost control and overturned.
A medical team assisted the victim at the scene before he was transported by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital.
However, he was certified dead shortly afterwards.
A magisterial inquiry has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the accident, while police investigations are ongoing.
