María Corina Machado returns to Venezuela

María Corina Machado has made a surprise public appearance at the Church of Santa Rosa in Lara, Venezuela, as she returned to her country.

Speculation about her return to Venezuela had been growing amid multiple failed attempts to return.

She is now back in her country, declaring, “I am here. With you.”

María Corina Machado is expected to challenge the incumbent ruling party in elections, after interim President Delcy Rodríguez announced at the UN General Assembly that Venezuela would hold elections. However, no election date has been set.
