Malta was not present to the signing of the EU-Tunisia Immigrant Pact

More news from the world where Malta is becoming ever more irrelevant. A comprehensive agreement on trade and immigration was signed by the EU and Tunisia, with the Netherlands and Italy leading the European side. Disappointingly, no mention is made by the EU over Tunisia’s descent into dictatorship.

What is also striking in this event is the absence of Tunisia’s European neighbour, Malta. The EU has just struck a major deal with our African neighbour and the Maltese government is nowhere to be seen.
