A gentle reminder to Lovin Malta that Suha Arafat escaped to Malta after embezzling tens of millions of US Dollars from Palestinians

Lucky for me, I still have a job in Malta because the press often overlooks many things, and information is so frequently distorted by loyalties, friendships, or just pure naivety. Like, for example, Lovin Malta interviewing Yasser Arafat’s previous wife, Suha Arafat, as if her opinion or views are worth anything.

Suha Arafat escaped to Malta after having embezzled tens of millions of US Dollars from PLO funds, and her actions were part of an extensive looting exercise of PLO funds by Arafat’s cronies during his rule and following his demise. She was also wanted by the Tunisian authorities over corruption allegations involving one of her schools in Tunisia.

She came to Malta in 2011 still taking a lucrative monthly pension from the Palestinian Authority, but she also has a real estate and investment company. Apart from denying that she stole any money, she also now, regrets having married her previous patron.

    Whilst you’re at it you can do some journalism on Guido de marco also.

    People in the comments below describe him as a gentleman – he was really a fraud and a misogynist – would a gentleman cheat on his wife constantly whilst remaining with her to keep up appearances and thrive in politics.

    Would a lecturer sleep with one of his students who ends up bearing his kid.

    People in the comments below the article describe him as a decent politician – Would a decent politician loyal to his party and beliefs go behind his leaders back (Eddie Fenech Adami) to be liked by the opposing party (MLP at the time) and curry favour seek advantage from them? Whilst EFA had his house ransacked and pillaged and under threat from thugs Guido was liked by the MLP and still is.     A criminal lawyer who also obtained tremendous benefit from criminals, and the family still does. Would a non corrupted politician post his relatives in all corners of state entities (MEPA, court, authorities etc.), to favour their own.

    I think journalists should really dig deep into Guido’s life to remove this myth of him being some spectacular person and everyone will be sorely surprised. Daphne Caruana Galizia had tried, and was the most courageous until the family tried their best to shut her up!!

    Whilst you are at it ? can look into the fraud committed by Guido to rob the Strickland family of their wealth. The chess moves performed by Guido and ?the order? to dismantle the Constitutional Party so they can welcome the liberal fold within the PN. 33 Degree Guido was always a master manipulator!

    ps Guido was the one who negotiated a blanket amnesty to all those labour thugs and criminals which was then pushed onto EFA who had no choice really on the matter.
