The Labour Party is trudging along with its best-in-Europe economic programme to turn the island into one whole restaurant and hotel strip and all the harbours into yacht marinas. Aaron Farrugia, Minister for Transport wants more yacht marinas.
It’s not the best they can come up with: it’s the only thing they can come up with. Restaurants, yacht marinas, hotels, and blocks of apartments – the New Labour Economic policy. A continuation of Labour’s policy of a low-value-job economy, and all of this at the expense of our public spaces, natural environment and quality of life.
