Police Commissioner Angelo Gafa was very swift in ensuring that I was investigated and prosecuted for publishing NuxellinaLeaks. However, Gafa doesn’t seem to be showing any enthusiasm to investigate and prosecute Silvio Valletta, the previous deputy police chief who leaked details on the investigation of Daphne Caruana Galizia to Yorgen Fenech and even covered up for him by for example, delaying his interrogation. Instead of investigating him as he was supposed to be doing, Silvio Valletta was riding with Yorgen Fenech in his Rolls Royce and even flying abroad with him to watch football games together. Silvio Valletta lied by feigning ignorance when there is internal police correspondence that contradicts his lies.
More than three years have passed since it was known that Silvio Valletta had an irregular relationship with Yorgen Fenech and that he was leaking details of the murder investigation. We also know that Silvio Valletta was abetted and protected by Keith Schembri who undoubtedly relayed information to him as well. Silvio Valletta’s case is worse than the other corrupt police inspector Ian Abdilla because Silvio Valletta even accepted bribes from Yorgen Fenech.
Today, Silvio Valletta is a free man and can put his mind to rest about being investigated with both the Police Commissioner and the Attorney-General covering up for all of them.
