The lavish life of Technical Director of the Income Tax Department, Sergio Ebejer

One thing leads to another and one quickly gets to learn many things on our small island. The previous taxman Marvin Gaerty seems to have been very fond of traveling and one of his traveling companions was Income Revenue Department Technical Director, Sergio Ebejer. He seems to be leading a lavish life as a poorly compensated government director, owning, a boat, a Range Rover, a motorcycle, and travels frequently with friends who include business people and Marvin Gaerty himself. Sergio Ebejer is also a Commissioner of Revenue.

Also, why do these middle-aged men travel together? Don’t they have families and wives with whom they travel with? In any case, if all of this is harmless, I’m sure that Sergio Ebejer is sports enough to consider this as “a gossip corner”. After all, he has no problem showing us he is doing well.

He was discussing this prospect with Malta International Airport’s CEO, Alan Borg, to whom he offered the CEO position, and also confided in him that Marvin Gaerty, back then the local taxman, was earmarked to join Tumas Group. Marvin Gaerty was also investigated by the police over separate chats between him and Yorgen Fenech negotiating a tax payment. Marvin Gaerty still has close friends in positions of power at the Inland Revenue Department. […]
