In shocking revelations made today by the court’s expert, Keith Cutajar, during court proceedings over the handling of Keith Schembri’s evidence, it transpired that officially Keith Schembri’s phone is still missing. Keith Cutajar also contradicted his previous testimony and Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech’s assertions that Keith Schembri’s phone had been found. The court expert also made a shocking admission that he had no remit in handling the evidence of Keith Schembri and only did so by the orders of the Magistrate. Clearly, Keith Cutajar seems to have tried to cover up and appease the Magistrate as best as he could, until it became evidently clear that the Magistrate couldn’t keep up her charade. It is important to note that Keith Cutajar also defended the Magistrate over her handling of court evidence when in fact, the situation was totally the opposite of what he had said to be.
Keith Schembri’s mobile phone contains incriminating evidence against various top-profile political figures, including Robert Abela himself. We also know for a fact that Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimecha was in communication with Robert Abela himself via WhatsApp. We also know that the evidence (data) of Keith Schembri’s mobile phone was demanded by Yorgen Fenech’s defence team. This saga is also pushing out the divisions in the criminal world out in the open.
Primarily as a consequence of the case of Keith Schembri’s mobile phone, Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech is being demoted from the financial crimes court to a district court – Darren Debono and his defense team are not happy with this. Darren Debono also has a rivalry with Keith Schembri stemming from the revelations that Keith Schembri fed a fake story to Saviour Balzan saying that Darren Debono was an accomplice in the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia. Edward Gatt, Keith Schembri’s lawyer is being seen as responsible for having brought the scandal of Keith Schembri’s mobile phone to the Magistrate’s feet causing her demotion.
