Truth Labs (@boringsleuth) is continuing with his voluminous research on the history of the Ethereum network and has recently uncovered a new story linking the Ethereum Foundation with the GateCoin hack of 2016.
The story is very clear thanks to blockchain history. Truth Labs was able to uncover a wallet that was created by the Ethereum Foundation that had sent 2 Ether to the GateCoin hacker. The transaction in question is this one:

The address connected to the Ethereum Foundation that sent the GateCoin hacker 2 Ether is this one:
https://etherscan.io/address/0x556b2b8d4c0da3433544756c237503ccf51b2df4
I’ve sent some questions to Vitalik Buterin himself about this through email, tagged him on Twitter, and even DMed him via WhatsApp. Vitalik read my message but refused to answer. In the meantime, he was on X.com tweeting about soup.
The problem with this story is that it is not just an allegation since the blockchain history is very clear. Refusing to reply is a reply in itself, and unfortunately given the concrete evidence behind this story, a refusal to reply seems to be very suspicious.
Vitalik is reported to be currently living in Montenegro which does not have an extradition treaty with the US.
