Franco Debono is trying to slander Daphne Caruana Galizia, a journalist who was murdered and who used to report on his bizarre and crazy antics in politics. It’s rather infantile and spiteful of him to do so, and very typical of his character. However, what he should disclose whilst doing so, is that his legal partner, Marion Camilleri is also serving as one of Yorgen Fenech’s lawyers.
Initially, Yorgen Fenech wanted to include Franco Debono in his legal team along with Giannella Caruana Curran who gave the brief to her son, Gianluca. Charles Mercieca, a previous lawyer with the Office of the Attorney-General who worked on Yorgen Fenech’s case became Yorgen Fenech’s frontman in his legal team. Charles Mercieca also approached Franco Debono to join Yorgen Fenech’s legal defense and Franco Debono refused the offer only to provide him with the services of his legal partner, Marion Camilleri. A polite way of involving yourself without appearing in public of being involved. Marion Camilleri is also a board member of the Commerce Department at the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Business.
Quite a way to have your revenge.
