Joseph Muscat’s comeback in political speeches and grandstanding at public Labour Party events wasn’t a big event. Many old people were bussed from Saint Vincent de Paul and the crowd still looked like a miserable coffee morning.
Joseph Muscat’s speech was all about defending himself, comparing himself with the interdicted Labour Party victims of the 1960s, smearing Roberta Metsola as a warmonger and child-killer, and invoking the Labour Party and his supporters to unite behind him in case he faces jail time. Alex Agius Saliba followed with a similar shallow discourse, accusing Roberta Metsola fo warmongering and that only the Labour Party can bring peace to Malta and Europe.
It was a spectacular exhibition of criminality, manipulation, fraud, and evil deception. Very much like fascism.
