This is just another excellent speech in Parliament by Opposition MP Mark Anthony Sammut. Here he is speaking on how the the Labour government has captured the state and we, as Maltese citizens have no one defending our interests. He draws the excellent examples of a contractor who builds next to your house and that of a victim of a road accident. Maltese citizens have no institutions that back them up in case a contractor infringes their rights and victims of road accidents spend years fighting for compensation in courts. He then continues on the government’s cover-ups, Christian Borg and the privileges of the Labour Party.
This is not the first time that Mark Anthony Sammut has pulled off a great speech in Parliament. He is capable of describing our situation in Malta on point and without any rhetorical excesses, which as a politician is a remarkable. He gives me great hope for Maltese politics and can’t wait for his next speech. NET TV should make sure to broadcast these speeches to their viewers.
