Frank Fabri has been a devoted and loyal supporter of Robert Abela ever since Abela ran for the Labour Party leadership and was promised the post of Principal Permanent Secretary before he was accused of criminal behaviour by the Standards Commissioner.
He is now being rehabilitated with a salary larger than that of the Prime Minister as CEO of the public entity Aquatic Resources Malta, which falls under the Agricultural and Fisheries Ministry of Anton Refalo. His appointment has faced severe opposition from professionals like Alan Deidun given that Frank Fabri has no expertise in the field.
Frank Fabri is just one of the several corrupt bureaucrats who are currently being rehabilitated such as Joseph Cuschieri (ex-MFSA and ex-MGA). The previous Minister for Education, Justyne Caruana, who resigned along with Frank Fabri for her Bogdanovich case, has also been rehabilitated as a government lawyer.
