Scoop: Prosecutors had already objected to the Attorney-General’s irregular channel with the Office of the Prime Minister

This is not the first time that Attorney-General has decided to use her discretion to submit a Magisterial inquiry to the Office of the Prime Minister before it is actually released for the public. The last time that the Attorney-General submitted a Magisterial inquiry to the Office of the Prime Minister was with the inquiry on Jean-Paul Sofia. Similar as to what he is doing today, Robert Abela lashed out at the inquiring Magistrate after the inquiry was concluded.

The Office of the Attorney-General has been beset with a series of resignations during the past two years due to the Victoria Buttigieg’s irregular behaviour, and a resignation also took place following Victoria Buttigieg’s submission of the Jean-Paul Sofia public inquiry to the Office of the Prime Minister. Victoria Buttigieg has also received complaints and objections by various prosecutors on her irregular channel with the Labour government.
