Surely, one of the most wicked politicians in Maltese history and that’s why Joseph Muscat hired John Dalli as consultant on health as soon as he entered office.
So, where’s John Dalli right now? Last time we saw him in public was at one of his court appearances, where he is being charged with bribery and more recently, signing the European parliament election nomination of Simon Mercieca. John Dalli has a lot ot tell about the government’s deal with Vitals given that he was a business partner with Ali Asad Shaukat, one of those being charged with money-laundering over the Vitals deal, and also a relative of Ali Abdulghafoor Shaukat who co-lead the Vitals deal with Ram Tumuluri. Asad Ali Shaukat even met President George Abela in San Anton Palace in 2011 for a courtesy visit.
Joseph Muscat must regret allowing the management of corrupt affairs in the health sector to be handled by John Dalli. He probably assumed that since John Dalli got away with it for all those years, he could extend his luck even further with a Labour administration. Talk about “The Establishment”.
