The Malta Union of Teachers has already sent two emails to Education Minister Clifton Grima asking him to meet to continue negotiations and finalise a salary agreement for all educators. The emails remained unreplied.
Previously, during the European Parliament election campaign, there was a lot of pressure from the Ministry of Education and the Malta Union of Teachers to finalise the agreement. Now, it’s only MUT that is left pressuring the Ministry of Education to finalise the agreement as the Minister is indisposed.
This is fuelling rumours that Robert Abela intends to execute a cabinet reshuffle soon.
