Alex Agius Saliba, who campaigned for the European Parliament by arguing in favor of the innocence of a former Prime Minister charged and accused of embezzling 30 million from the National Health Service, has been appointed Vice-President of the Socialist and Democrats Group in the European Parliament (S&D).
I have asked several S&D members about this election and some have told me that he has recieved less votes than the last time he contested for the post, but he still succeeed in getting elected. I’ll be updating this story with more details later.
