Several protesters were shot dead, yesterday as riots erupted in the centre of the capital Nairobi. Protesters attempted to storm the Kenyan Parliament while looters attacked shops and small businesses.
Demonstrators were protesting high tax increases that are aimed at reducing Kenyan’s growing deficit before the protests turned violent. Auma Obama, (Barack Obama’s sister) was seen protesting in the street and interviewed by CNN said that Kenyan youth was being robbed of its future.
