Court refuses to appoint medical expert in Mario Mifsud’s nose-biting case

Yesterday in Court, proceedings continued for the very bizarre and interesting case of Mario Mifsud who is accused of biting the nose of his victim. Mario Mifsud is the brother of Magistrate Joe Mifsud and Simon Mercieca’s lawyer. That’s enough weird and creepy stuff in two sentences to draw up a festival of circuses.

Everything about this case is bizarre, including the fact that the press is not reporting about it. Yesterday in Court, Magistrate Astrid May Grima denied the Prosecutor’s request to appoint a medical expert to analyse the injuries of the victim. Even more bizarrely, the lawyer of the victim, Marion Camilleri, also objected to the Prosecutor’s request to analyst the victim’s injuries.

This is not the first time that Mario Mifsud has been investigated for being violent, yet his victims always dropped the charges against him.

My gut feeling tells me there’s something deeply wrong about Mario Mifsud, which I’ll probably fully figure out by next October.
