Edmundo González wins the Venezuelan presidential elections with a landslide

Opposition Leader and previous ambassador Edmundo González has won the Venezuelan presidential elections with a landslisde. Initial and informal results are giving him a 60% lead over incumbent President Nicolás Maduro who is estimated to have gained around 23% of the votes.

The popular biker gangs who are loyal to the President are attacking polling stations as they unilaterally publish the results before sending the polls to the Eelction Commission whom they don’t trust. Polling stations are deliberately publishing the results with the photographic evidence of vote tallies.

One electoral polling official has been murdered by the biker gangs in the town of Patiecitos in the state of Tachira.

Spanish politicians from the Partido Popular who arrived in Caracas on Friday as election observers were expelled back to Spain as part of a crackdown on foreign election observers.

Yesterday, Caracas was filled with thousands of people protesting Maduro’s rule who has retained power over the years by hijacking state institutions and discarding election results.
