The Ukrainian invasion of Kursk Oblast has become a matter for the secret police under the Russian President, as Army Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov was removed from the Kursk operation. FSB head Alexander Bortnikov has been given the responsibility of pushing the Ukrainians out of Russia.
Last week, Ukraine captured the city of Sudzha and has been advancing deeper into Russian territory ever since. Yesterday, Ukraine launched more drone attacks inside Russian territory including on air bases around Moscow. Up to 76,000 Russian residents have been evacuated from border cities.
Meanwhile, Russia has responded by starting a fire, possibly with lyres, in one of the cooling plants of the Russian occupied nuclear-powered station inย Zaporizhzhia.
