Israel has responded to rockets fired by Hamas from Khan Younis by bombing the city, issuing another order for residents to evacuate the bombed-out city. Many residents in Khan Younis have already been displaced within Gaza after the IDF captured the city, with some residents returning. Israel is also appealing Egypt to take in Gazan refugees until the war is over.
Two young-infant children who were just born died in yesterday’s bombing by the IDF in Khan Younis. There is nowhere safe in Gaza as the IDF bombs civilians and buildings indiscriminately as it fights Hamas who has regrouped in certain areas including in Khan Younis.
Recent reports by the Palestinian Health Authority estimate the death toll in Gaza at around 40,000 people.
