Byron Camilleri is not cautious: he’s reckless

In his reply to the Opposition on their request not to extradite Daniel Meli to the Untied States, Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri urged “caution”.

Really? When did the Labour government exercise any caution in how it handles anything at all, especially the security of its own citizens?

“Caution”. The man sounds like he has been given a task to do.

The government doesn’t need to make extensive legal changes and neither does it need to use the case to protect foreign criminals who come to Malta. Daniel Meli’s case should be addressed with a combination of legal and bilateral measures that would ensure that he stays in Malta while simultaneously maintaining good relationship with the US Justice Department. This is not rocket science. It’s a typical days work for a government minister.

Caution. Men at work.

Ridiculous.

This person is such a joke that beggars belief. He is not fit for purpose and for the good of the country he must leave.
