When all else fails, try using excessive authority so that maybe you’ll start winning again. The scent of desperation.
The outgoing President of the Labour Pary gave a fascist speech yesterday at the Labour Party’s General Conference. Check out her quote taken from an article by The Malta Independent.
This is stuff that comes out from a fascist gutter. Ramona Attard made reference to a Magisterial Inquiry by Joe Mifsud who claimed that criminal libel should be reitnroduced in law. The Labour government removed criminal libel in 2017 and I’m happy to brag about the fact that it was removed after my friends and I, back then, mainly Ingram Bondin and Andrew Sciberras overhauled Labour’s proposed bill. This is something I will forever be proud of.
This is not the first time that Joe Mifsud has demanded the reinstatement of criminal libel, but no one ever took him seriously because everyone knows he is not a serious person. Now, some Labourites are taking him seriously, only because it is convenient for them to do so at a time when Labour is hemorrhaging votes.
Deperate times call for fascist measures.
