Malta at the United Nations General Assembly

Malta is not scheduled to take the stand during this year’s United Nations General Assembly. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy-Prime Minister Ian Borg met counterparts and leaders on the sidelines.

The President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola is also present  at the UNGA representing the European Parliament. President Metsola also gave a speech at the Concordia Annual Summit and you can listen to the full speech here.

Ian Borg met Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, on the sidelines as current OSCE Chairman, as well as with  Uzbekistan’s MFA Bakhtiyor Saidov and Albania’s MFA Igli Hasani. As Malta’s MFA, Ian Borg met with Interpol Chief Jürgen Stock, Libya’s MFA Taher al-Baour, Cyprus’ MFA Constantinos Kombos, and Ghana’s MFA Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.
