Somalian, Egyptian, and Eritrean Ministers of Foreign Affairs meet on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, Egypt and Eritrea met on the sidelines of the ongoing United Nations General Assembly, however no conclusive statement was made by either any of them over the meeting. They discussed strategic cooperation and all three are allies with historic disputes against Ethiopia. Somalia is currently receiving Egyptian military equipment as it hosts Egyptian army officers.

The Ministers, pictured above and below, are, from left to right, Ahmed Moalim Fiqi (Somalia), Badr Abdelatty (Egypt), and Osman Saleh Mohammed (Eritrea).

Egypt and Ethiopia are currently up in arms over Ethiopia’s Grand Renaissance Dam.
