Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine will get nuclear weapons if security by the Allies is not guaranteed

During yesterday’s meeting of the European Council, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky announced to European leaders that he informed US Presidential nominee Donald Trump,  that if Ukraine was not to be granted a security alliance with Western allies, it would have no choice but to opt for a nuclear weapons arsenal to guarantee its security. President Zelensky made this announcement as he reminded European leaders that Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons and Russia would not dare to invade a nation armed with nuclear weapons.

President Zelensky made these comments as he presented his Victory Plan to European leaders. Meanwhile, the current leadership of the European Union including Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen Parliament President Roberta Metsola are speaking of “peace” instead of “victory” indicating Europe’s tone of capitulation with regard to the war in Ukraine.

Ukraine’s President was present at the European Council to discuss his government’s Victory Plan for the war in Ukraine. Ukraine’s new position on nuclear weapons come after Donald Trump announced he will halt all military aid to Ukraine.
