The IDF takes over Ayta Ash Shaab and razes it to the ground

The Israeli Defence Forces have taken over Hezbollah’s stronghold in the south of Lebanon, Ayta Ash Shaab. The village was already razed to the ground in 2006 after a tough battle between Hezbollah and the IDF.

The IDF are currently also occupying Maroun al-Ras and Meiss Ej Jabal following battles with Hezbollah in the areas.  Meanwhile, there is also risk of a humanitarian crisis breaking out at UNRWA-run refugee-shelters in Lebanon due to overcrowding, lack of humanitarian aid and clean water.
