In honour of its 25th anniversary, the St. Joseph the Worker Exhibitions Society of Birkirkara will host a special exhibition titled ‘Xbihat Qaddisa’ (Holy Images) from November 1st to November 10th.
This unique exhibition brings together an array of statuettes, paintings, and other artistic representations of Catholic saints, highlighting works from community members of various ages. Set within the St. Joseph the Worker Parish Centre at 71 Bwieraq Street, Birkirkara, the exhibition will feature a rich collection of saintly representations, including rare miniature replicas of statues from local churches. Some of these items are being showcased for the first time, offering a fresh perspective on the religious and cultural heritage they represent.
The event will commence with an opening ceremony on All Saints’ Day on Friday, 1st November at 5:30 p.m., where Fr. Charlon Muscat, parish priest of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, will lead the blessing. From then, visitors are welcome daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. until 10th November.
