Riddled with a history of cover-ups, dysfunction and outright political abuse, the Minister for Home Affairs, Byron Camilleri would never withstand a debate against his Opposition spokesperson and Shadown Minister. The officials at the Labour are probably very much aware of this so they, along with Supreme Leader Robert Abela would probably discourage him to participate in any interviews or debates.
The Minister for Home Affairs was meant to participate in a debate with his Shadow Minister, Darren Carabott on the TV debate series called Il-Każin. He failed to show-up and this is exactly what I would have expected him to do especially with an independent host like Jon Mallia.
