Is Parliament preparing changes to the Commission for the Administration of Justice?

The public and online page listing the members of the Commission for the Administration of Justice has been taken down.

The composition of the Commission is still listed on its Wikipedia Page.

The Commission is the only entity that has the power to regulate the behaviour of the Judiciary. The Labour Party, along with the Nationalist Party under Adrian Delia’s helm, subverted and undermined the Commission by appointing Alessandro Lia and Vince Galea to the Commission. Alessandro Lia is embroiled in a case of domestic violence against his ex-wife, Nadine Lia, who is also a Magistrate. Vince Galea is Adrian Delia’s friend and also served as Joseph Muscat’s lawyer. Alessandro Lia is the son of Pawlu Lia, one of Joseph Muscat’s lawyers.

The term of these individuals in the Commission is for four years. Their term may have expired which in that case Parliament would have to either renew their appointment or replace them.

We have yet to hear from either the government or the Opposition about their position on the appointments of the Commission.
