Joseph Muscat turns to blackmail and dirty tricks as everything else fails

After failing to strengthen his influence within Labour during the last internal elections, Joseph Muscat is now losing hope that the Prime Minister will intervene to save him from his legal troubles. Joseph Muscat faces the looming prospect of a lengthy prison sentence over the Vitals fraud and expects the Labour Party to rehabilitate him, hoping it would shield him from legal consequences. However, by now, this hope and prospect seem irreversibly doomed.

Labour Party delegates who previously remained silent about Joseph Muscat’s antics are now experiencing Muscat fatigue, growing increasingly frustrated with his direct challenges to the Labour Party leader. They believe the focus should instead be on securing Labour’s victory in the next elections and his behaviour, namely through his proxies such as Jason Micallef, is now becoming blatantly and publicly treacherous.

Most of the Labour MPs prefer a different leader, and are fretting about the fate of Labour, but they don’t have the courage to challenge their leader and are preferring to rally behind him to keep their supporters united against any appearance of division that Joseph Muscat is trying to cause. Joseph Muscat is fighting the Party and its Leader for his own sake. Now, that everything is failing him with no window of opportunity available for a political return, Joseph Muscat is resorting to blackmail against the Prime Minister, even using my stories from my latest book as part of his threatening package.

Joseph Muscat’s faction in the Labour Party is not driven by any political cause but only to rehabilitate him and through him claw back the power and influence they lost in the Party. From imbecile grifters like Jason Micallef and outright criminals like Neville Gafa, Joseph Muscat’s faction is showing its true colours to the Labour delegates with its dirty tricks.

What’s also striking in this saga is the absence and the total irrelevance of Alex Agius Saliba who is now already slamming down heavily from his peak. Despite his experience in the Party, Alex Agius Saliba got greedy enough to want to become a Deputy-Leader while dedicating himself to playtime in Brussels: an opportunistic and reckless decision that cost him his credibility and trust in the Party.

Joseph Muscat’s faction has consumed itself and Joseph Muscat is showing his true colours to those who have patiently supported him inside the Party. He is doing so by simply being himself: a lying, fraudulent and deceiving little piece of shit snake.
