At today’s Political Assembly of the European People’s Party, held in Malta at the Nationalist Party headquarters, EPP Group Leader Manfred Weber stated that Ukraine must win this war if we want to keep the conflict away from us.

The EPP Political Assembly began yesterday, with EPP Leader Manfred Weber congratulating the Nationalist Party on its electoral gains in the last European Parliament elections, during which the Nationalist Party secured an additional seat. Roberta Metsola, who is both a PN MEP and an EPP member, serves as the President of the European Parliament and is also present at the conference.

EPP President Manfred Weber also emphasised that his political group does not collaborate with far-right parties, as they are anti-European. He stated that the EPP will only work closely with political parties that are pro-Ukraine and support the rule of law. Regarding the European Green Deal, Weber reiterated that it should be implemented in a reasonable manner, working with the people rather than against farmers and industry.
