EPP Group declines to address questions on sanctioning Israel for killing journalists

Earlier this week during the EPP Groups Political Assembly in Malta, the EPP representatives declined to respond to questions about European sanctions on Israel over the killing of journalists. Throughout the war on Gaza, Israel killed up to 137 journalists and media workers.

The question, raised by the Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation, which was participating in the EPP’s media working group, was dismissed by EPP representatives. The working group was led by Maltese MEP David Casa.

The EPP Group has previously supported the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin and has condemned governments that violate international law.
