Yesterday, a police officer was arraigned in court for allegedly leaking information about ongoing investigations to suspected criminals. Cherise Camilleri, the officer in question, worked with the Drug Squad and is accused of acting as a mole for several years. She is currently being defended in Court by Arthur Azzopardi and ex-police officer Frank Tabone.
What has not been reported so far is that the case is more complex and involves other individuals, apart from the fact that the partner of Cherise Camilleri is also a Police Officer and he is seen here in her Facebook photo. He was recently transferred from his post to another less meaningful post following the revelations about his partner (previously he also served as a driver to Inspector, now Assistant Commissioner Keith Arnaud).
At this time, we cannot confirm whether the relevant story linked above is connected to the case of Cherise Camilleri.
