The Nationalist Party has issued a statement stating that Prime Minister Robert Abela told Nationalist Party Leader Bernard Grech in a meeting at PN’s headquarters, that Karl Gouder was extorted right before his death. The meeting took place after news broke about Karl Gouder.
The Nationalist Party also criticised the Prime Minister for speaking to the Inquiring Magistrate only after he was called. An investigation by an Inquiring Magistrate aided by the police on Karl Gouder’s death is ongoing.
Karl Gouder had been preparing to contest the role of Secretary-General of the Nationalist Party shortly before his passing.
