The Enemed Cup cup took an intriguing turn yesterday when Sliema fell to Valletta for their first defeat of the tournament. The defeat was widely unexpected, although Valletta have already proved themselves a team to be reckoned with when they pushed Neptunes to the wire in their opening encounter.
The victory for Valletta and Sliema’s loss obviously benefited both San Giljan and Neptunes who remain on maximum points after three games.
