Times of Malta journalist Jacob Borg is one of the most hated journalists by the Labour Party so they don’t miss an opportunity to hit at him. Apart from sharing our full solidarity with Jacob Borg , we remind readers that ONE News, the Labour Party’s propaganda outlet is run by a fascist who often attacks journalists and the judiciary. The OCCRP has done important work internationally and also in Malta with the Times and the Daphne Foundation, and criticism by Labour and their allies over their funding is done in bad faith. The conspiracy theory by ONE that “the Americans” influence local journalism is a stupid smear made against a backdrop of many local outlets that are publicly funded and serve as propaganda outlets for the Labour government: such as MaltaToday. At the same time, the independent press in Malta, what’s left of it, struggles to survives.
As for ONE, the Labour Party prefers to feed its audience fascist propaganda, disinformation and absurd instead of communicating the trut. The new Labour Party’s Head of Communications is even as jarring as to defame her own Deputy-Leader. There’s no limit as to how they warp and twist the truth to weaponise information and news against their targets.
