A Maltese truck-driver killed his goat yesterday after he tied it up to the end of his truck, and dragged it around in the streets during the middle of the night.
A car-driver who was behind him, signaled the truck driver to stop, who said that he had forgot his goat there.
The incident is appalling, and irrespective whether the truck-driver says that it was an accident or not, I hope that he is arraigned to court over animal cruelty. Too many animals in Malta are violently mistreated by their owners and there should be zero tolerance for this kind of barbaric behaviour.
