The Gozo Channel ferry service will temporarily suspend its operations between 12pm and 3pm on both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day to allow employees on duty to enjoy lunch with their families.
The affected schedules include:
• From Mgarr to Cirkewwa: No trips will operate at 12:00, 12:30, 12:45, 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:15, and 2:30pm. The last morning departure will be at 11:30am, with services resuming at 3:00pm.
• From Cirkewwa to Mgarr: Trips will not run at 12:15, 12:45, 1:15, 1:30, 1:45, 2:15, 2:45, and 3:00pm. The last pre-lunch ferry leaves at 12:00pm, with the first afternoon trip departing at 3:15pm.
The Gozo Channel Board has expressed its gratitude to the company’s employees for their dedication, especially those working during long shifts and in challenging weather. The board thanked the staff for their exceptional efforts in ensuring a reliable service for customers throughout the year.
Travelers planning to use the ferry during these times are advised to adjust their schedules accordingly.
