Johann Buttigieg, who received gifts from Yorgen Fenech, is set to run the Planning Authority once again

Johann Buttigieg, who was one of the most controversial and potentially corrupt government executives under Joseph Muscat’s administration is set to take on his original role of CEO of the Planning Authority. He is known and remembered as the government executive who enabled the Jungle Rules system which lead to the unrestrained construction boom under Joseph Muscat’s Labour administrations.

The Times of Malta wrote a short history about his time at the Planning Authority. He was featured in this website when we published the gift list of Yorgen Fenech in which Johann Buttigieg is listed and in NuxellinaLeaks where he is said to have hosted Labour Party politicians, Yorgen Fenech and others for dinner at his home.

    I think the entire Labour Party, Robert Abela and all has given up and knows that not only their super majority is gone but any majority at all has been wiped out and they will be back in Opposition even before 2027, possibly this year.
