There’s more news about Jason Azzopardi today, which is inevitable given that he has adopted the role of a main Opposition activist along with Arnold Cassola, Robert Aquilina and others in the absence of a strong Opposition from the Nationalist Party.
Jason Azzopardi has dropped his allegations against the Cabinet Secretary, Ryan Spagnol over corruption at Identity Malta. The Police have conducted an extensive investigation on the case about fraudulent ID cards by Identity Malta and will be arraigning a host of suspects in Court in the coming weeks and months. Ryan Spagnol, who was a previous employee at Identity Malta, is not one of those being arraigned.
Joseph Muscat’s friends and allies tried to smear the Cabinet Secretary, Ryan Spagnol with false allegations over the Identity Malta scandal that were spread through to third-parties. These allegations were also meant to divert attention from those who were politically responsible.
Ryan Spagnol is hated by Joseph Muscat’s team for being one of those Labour Party rebels who in 2019 rebelled against him and then supported a Party policy of non-rehabilitation for him.
