Syria bans Iranian, Israeli and Russian goods along with Iranian and Israeli visitors

Syria has released new regulations banning the import of all manufactured goods from Iran, Israel and Russia. Syria has also banned Israelis and Iranians from visiting Syria, but has not issued this ban on Russian citizens.

The Syrian government relies on Russian personnel for technical expertise on its energy, electricity and other infrastructure.

Bans on US Dollar transactions have also been lifted but custom duties on many products have been raised significantly. Despite the rise in customs duties, prices in Damascus have decreased although prices in Idlib have increased slightly.
