Hamas releases propaganda video threatening Palestinian dissidents with punishment

Hours before a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel takes effects and 33 Israeli hostages are exchanged for Palestinian prisoners, Hamas has published a propaganda video threatening to punish dissidents and thieves. The video shows Hamas members shooting Palestinian civilians in Gaza in their legs, a common extrajudicial punishment conducted by Hamas.

Throughout the war in Gaza, Hamas has killed up to 650 Palestinians in Gaza in extrajudicial killings with many of them being dissidents, journalists and critics of Hamas. Hamas is set to remain in control of Gaza following its ceasefire with Israel.
