There has been no respite for Palestinians in Gaza as Israel bombed Iran with air sorties over Gaza still taking place on a daily basis. Yesterday, up to 50 people were killed in Gaza including by Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza City and Khan Younis.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority is accusing Hamas of murdering Palestinians who gather to receive aid from the US private organisation, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). In recent weeks, several mass shootings have occurred targeting Palestinians at aid distribution centres operated by the GHF. The Palestinian Authority has also released evidence supporting its accusations, including testimonies from Palestinians who were present during the shootings and lost loved ones
The Palestinian Authority stated that Hamas seeks to maintain its monopoly over the distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza, especially because it uses the aid to financially benefit its organisation. Hamas has in the past threatened Palestinians who collaborate with Israel and regularly beats, maims and shoots civilians who break its laws.
European and Arab nations were supposed to recognise the state of Palestine at a UN conference this week but postponed the conference indefinitely due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.
