Up to 42 people killed in Gaza by IDF bombardments yesterday

Israel did not suspend its operations in Gaza despite its ongoing conflict with Iran and airstrikes and its genocidal operation in Gaza called “Gideon’s Chariots” is ongoing. Up to 42 people were killed yesterday in Gaza as Israel bombed several areas including Gaza City and Khan Younis. Al Arabiya TV has reported that an aid worker was killed in the Al Waha area, in the north of Gaza.

Bombings are also occurring around the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis. The complex is one of the last remaining functioning medical centres in Gaza and is currently hosting foreign volunteer doctors. Dr Mark Brunner, a US physician working at the facility, stated that they receive large numbers of injured civilians every time an aid distribution takes place. He was referring to aid distribution centres operated by the US-based private organisation, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. The Palestinian Authority has accused Hamas of shooting at civilians who attempt to access aid provided by the organisation

The World Central Kitchen has also restarted its operations in Gaza and is currently delivering 10,000 meals every day. The World Central Kitchen in Gaza closed down in April last year after the IDF struck and killed 7 of its aid workers.

The bodies of three Israeli hostages, Yonatan Samerano, Ofra Keidar, and Shay Levinson have also been recovered. Israeli authorities estimate that there are still up to 20 and 24 Israeli hostages in Gaza who are still alive.
